Call for Workshops

IEEE CEC 2021 will host a few pre-Congress workshops focusing on discussing contemporary topics in the Congress area. Workshops offer a technical community the opportunity to polarize ideas towards a common vision for a sub-field or the development of a position on topic.

Workshops can take on a number of forms including but not limited to being organized around emerging research areas, challenging problems and industrial applications. Workshops may include, for example – but not limited to – tutorials, keynote / invited speakers, contributed papers and presentations, panel discussions. Organizers of accepted workshops are expected to prepare a workshop website and call for papers, publicize the workshop, gather submissions, conduct the reviewing process and decide upon the final workshop program.

A workshop proposal should include the title, a short introduction to the topic, the motivation, aims and relevance of the proposed workshop to IEEE CEC 2021, a list of potential speakers, the expected length (half a day or a full day) and structure of the workshop, and names, affiliations, websites, and bios of organisers.

Papers accepted at a workshop will not be published in the main proceedings. Workshop organizers may need to either seek an independent publication such as a post-even special issue in a journal or to organize a special session within IEEE CEC 2021, where accepted papers will appear in the main conference proceedings.

Proposals and inquiries regarding workshops should be addressed to the Workshop Chair:

Workshop proposals should be submitted by November 19th, 2020  3 December 2020. All workshops will be held on June 28th, 2021.
